PILLOW TALK IN THE TIME OF CORONAVIRUS

DONALD JOHANSON

This sunny, virus-laden
Monday
exudes quiet, even absent
sirens
Taking a momentary
Look
at the impression of my
Head
caved into a soft
Pillow
Standing staring into my
Soul
Is this all that is left of
Us
when we leave this
Life
A silent softness in an
Anonymous
Place
where the new
Pillow
Awaits

  2. Such a sad and relevant poem, its simplicity stirred me an agony.
