This new anthology from the http://www.presapress.com/ was reviewed very favorably in the Small Press Review:

"This anthology is the Naked Poetry of our half century, but stronger, without the academic attempt to provide trivial definition to artistic form. It represents the diversity, power and anguish of avant-garde American poetry from the 60's onward, selected by the past editors of Ghost Dance, The Smith, and Pilot Press.... This book is a prime source. Generations to come will use it to learn how writing was lived before the mundane media-centric days of virtual reality. Their work is visceral and drawn from the pain of living, fighting for dignity, rather than pontificating. And working alone, speaking most frequently to each other in the small press, they created much of the muscular, nonlinear immediacy that today's MFA writing programs try to program."--Jared Smith
