Chad Parenteau is the author of Patron Emeritus, released in 2013 by FootHills Publishing. Week-Old Mask


Empires do
crumble, sure

sometimes
to dust.

Start-over
material

comes from
somewhere.

Towers make
comeback

leave us with
smaller streets

to stand in
legally.
