Legendary Small Press Activist, Poet, Critic, Reviewer Hugh Fox dies at age 79.

I got word from Hugh Fox's family that he passed Sunday, Sept. 4th in a hospice in Michigan. Fox was a iconic figure in the Small Press--for another interview I conducted with him on litkicks go to http://www.litkicks.com/HughFox

  2. Hugh was my colleague at Michigan State in the Nineties and we stayed in touch. He wrote a blurb for my latest book, Road Ghosts, and reviewed the previous couple for Small Press Review. Always generous to a fault, and full of wry humor, Hugh wrote me after I'd lost my teaching position and had left East Lansing, something to the effect that "This place is dull since you left." What a poet's life he led!

Hugh, we're going to miss you!
