Poet Ed Galing's wife has passed at age 89. Ed was married for 68 years. Ed Galing is a widely published and respected member of our poetry community. Send your condolences to: Ed Galing 3435 Mill Rd. Hatboro, PA. 19040 Ed does not have a computer. Ed sent me a poem "Gently Into The Night."
Here is an excerpt:
one month after she has left me to lie in the cemetery,
and the many friends and good relatives have disappeared
it's just me and her all over again,
and I tell you, she is not dead...
and today she and i are goingfor a long ride,
into the Pocono mountains,
she always liked that ride into hills and valleys;
and perhaps we will find a shady spot somewhere,
and talk about life and how lucky we are
to have each other.
my heart goes out to Ed. he is a great poet, and I know that his memories and poems will get him thru.
ReplyDeleteI will send him a letter, thanks for posting Doug.
My condolences to Ed. I've read his work in the small press. I send my prayers to him.
